WORK EXPERIENCE
Environmental Specialist 06/08 - Present
DELCORA (Delaware County Regional Water Quality Control Authority); Chester, PA
- Conduct 48 yearly industrial and construction Phase I assessments to inspect the disposal of water and all environmental impacts. Industries include Sunoco, ConocoPhillips, and Kimberly Clark.
- Project manager for composing wastewater discharge permits in respect to all EPA regulations.
- Prepare monthly and annual compliance reports of all industries and hauled waste data for the EPA.
- Perform daily administrative tasks for the Director of Operations such as permit writing, scheduling meetings, preparing letters, purchase orders, and other logistic needs.
- Lead contact person for all environmental queries from our permitted industries, hauled waste clients, and outside consultants.
- Apply local standards, rules, and regulations with industrial users to comply with our NPDES permit in accordance with the Clean Water and Clean Air Act.
- Act as a lead consultant and project manager for new hauled waste clients. This sector of DELCORA currently accounts for 5% of the total revenue and has nearly doubled since 2008.
- Serve on the sustainability team and implement new practices for recycling and energy efficiency.
Interim Environmental Manager 03/09 – 10/09

- Responsible for supervising interns from Drexel University. I assign data collection and oversee research projects that are presented to co-workers, outside consultants, and regulatory agencies.
- Review permit applications and provide feedback for industrial users while taking into account all social, environmental, and economic factors.
- Maintain discharge compliance in accordance with Pennsylvania DEP and EPA regulations by reviewing all incoming and effluent waste streams.
